Pacific Hoists provide a range of products mechanically plated to provide heavy duty corrosion - rust proof protection.

Mechanical Plating is a method of plating which utilises mechanical energy to deposit a stable metal coating onto metal parts, guaranteeing better corrosion protection.

Pacific Hoists use a Holly Metal coating consisting of a Tin, Zinc and Copper Alloy. With a thickness of 10 microns it gives the same corrosion protection as hot dipped galvanizing. Mechanical plating applies coverage to all surfaces of the parts with build up of thickness in certain areas providing a more uniform corrosion protection.

Unlike Electroplating, Mechanical Plating virtually eliminates the problem of parts failure caused by Hydrogen embrittlement. Parts will remain stable under stress effectively eliminating component failure.

Mechanical plating can be applied to Vital & Pacific S2 Chain Blocks,
Hand & Load Chain and Pacific Low Headroom Push Trolley.

Mechanical plated chain blocks are specifically designed for corrosive environments and are idea for industrial applications and / or the marine industry.
