JDN Hoists for Maritime Applications

The impressive range of the Profi Series, covering lift capacities from 250 kg up to a full 100 tonnes, is used worldwide within many heavy-industry applications including shipbuilding, covering new-build, refits and repair as well as dismantling.

Typical shipyard external applications include the installation and disassembly of rudder blades, shafts and propellers, while internal work includes heavy components for the engine room drive equipment as well as drive shafts and other general fitting out or installation work.

Other marine related products that can be supplied include hoists for underwater operations which have successfully been deployed for the removal, repair and eventual replacement of a damaged 50 tonne rudder on a fully loaded bulk cargo vessel while moored off the coast of Venezuela. JDN Delegation visits China

A delegation from JDN visited Taiyuan, China on the 23rd and 24th of June to train employees from several mines in how to operate JDN products. The delegation consisted of employees from JDN Witten, JDN Singapore and our Chinese agents, Concy. Around 100 Chinese mine workers came from various provinces around the city of Taiyuan,  which has a population of six million. To ensure that every member of the audience could follow  the professional presentation by our JDN team, all the operations demonstrated were  also shown on a big screen. JDN M Series air hoists, Profis and complete crane systems are used in the Chinese underground mining industry.
